KEP Games was founded to help people exercise their mental muscles. We are gamers who love big console and PC games, but who also appreciate what the brain can do with a simple pencil and paper — or a touchscreen.
One of KEP's original founders is Schibsted — the media company that owns e.g. Aftonbladet, Blocket and SvD in Sweden — which led to an intense crossword immersion at the start. It turned out Schibsted had thousands of crosswords and a lot of expertise in how to construct them.
After this crossword marathon, we were naturally a bit brainwashed when creating our first game. But we thought that with all these crosswords and a team deeply knowledgeable about the game mechanics behind them, we should be able to find a new way to play them. And we think we succeeded.
Our next game? We don't know yet — there's still a lot to do on Cross Boss. But one thing is certain: whatever it is, it will exercise the brain and be fun.
